Quality

A history of producing quality products that last for many years.

IHaigh has an established reputation when it comes to quality. Back in 1992 this was reinforced when it was an early adopter of the then BS5750 Quality Management System now known as ISO9000. We opted to be assessed against the more rigorous Part 1 of the standard across multiple sites to include site installation activity. Registration was achieved at the first attempt.

Today Haigh continues to be registered too ISO9000 and the independent auditing body SGS Yarsley conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance.

Environment

As a company manufacturing electro-mechanical devices, we are conscious of the many raw materials used, contributing to the depletion of the world’s resources.
We find that by striving to increase manufacturing efficiency, consideration to the environment becomes part of the equation. This, together with actually supplying equipment to help customers process waste effectively, enables Haigh to have a heightened awareness.

This is broadly broken down as:- Careful use to minimise wastage.
Segregation of waste for efficient disposal or alternative use, i.e. metals by type, paper waste shredded for packing. Use of recycled raw material.
Waste collection by authorised and registered companies.

The design team always consider efficiency through design and consideration of alternate materials when developing new products. Manufacturing is undertaken with a view to efficiency by reducing waste and using modern energy efficient manufacturing processes.

A continual review of power consumption is undertaken with a programme of Investing in efficient plant and machinery and insulation of buildings.

Although not formally assessed, Haigh also has a Environmental Management System compliant to ISO14001
