Apprentices - Earn As You Learn
We are proud to have developed a number of people from the early years of their apprenticeship through to manager status. As an innovative, technologically advanced local company with a worldwide market for its products, we're a perfect choice to gain experience at the start of your career.
Business administration apprentice
We’re searching for a creative and organised individual to join our marketing team as a business administration apprentice.
As part of the marketing team you’ll be helping drive forward marketing activities that inform and motivate. You’ll be involved in the full spectrum of promotional activities both online and offline so confidence in using computers as a planning, administration, communication and research tool is essential.
We’re continually innovating so good questioning skills, an eye for detail and the ability to write and create engaging content is important. Whilst you’ll be working in a team environment you will have responsibility for your own tasks so a pro-active and independent approach is equally vital.
This is a perfect introduction to anyone who is interested in a marketing, social, digital or sales career. This role is based in Ross on Wye with day-release at HWGTA in Hereford.
We welcome up to three apprentices each year in machining, electrical, fitting or fabrication/welding and are particularly interested in supporting the career aspirations of women into engineering and welcome female applicants.
Candidates should be enthusiastic and well-motivated individuals with a specific interest in engineering processes. You will be expected to achieve or already hold reasonable GCSE grades in five subjects, including maths and English at Grade 4/5 or above.
Successful applicants will be offered an advanced apprenticeship lasting up to four years, starting with a year off-the-job training at Herefordshire & Worcestershire Group Training Association in Holmer Road, Hereford to learn the basics of engineering. Subsequent training will include college day release (for City & Guilds or BTEC National Diploma qualifications) and a NVQ Level 3.
Haigh has a long standing relationship with HWGTA and source our apprentice intake through them. Full details at www.hwgta.org or call them on 01432 377002.
